🔋⚡ Sri Lanka to connect large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems to the national grid from early September.

The systems will store excess solar power generated during the day and release it at night, helping improve grid stability and reduce reliance on diesel power generation.

Projects are planned at 16 transmission substations, with each battery project capable of supplying 10 MW to the national grid. Procurement is also underway for systems at another 23 substations.
