I’m Tim McNally, Chair of Piddington Parish Council.

A parish council exists to represent its community—not silence it, control it or hide from difficult debate.

When residents ask to be heard, councillors should bring people together, present the evidence and provide a fair democratic forum. “We don’t want conflict” is not an excuse for refusing engagement.

Change must rise from the grassroots—from parish councils to county councils, MPs and Parliament.

If you stand between residents and their democratic voice, you are not serving your community. Step aside for someone who will.
