@DrDavidKatz This is good news so far! I hope we do not repeat everything that happened two years ago. I believe the next step we should take is to incorporate the omicron variant into the booster shots so it helps slow the spread of it @beh353#beh353
@SamanthaHinken@beh353 This is the best way to approach patients. It incorporated everything we learned this semester. I will be doing something similar but in the Optometry field. @beh353#beh353
As a future Optometrist, I will incorporate nutrition by having my patients have a proper diet because you need to ensure you are getting the proper nutrients. Diets that consist of mostly processed food do not give all of the nutrients. @beh353#beh353
@nutrition_facts Amazing! I did not know sweet potatoes are so nutrient-dense and cheap. I have always incorporated them into my diet. The best part is the possible cancer-fighting proteins it contains that can possibly be used to treat tongue cancer and more! @beh353#beh353
Sweet potatoes are not just one of the healthiest and cheapest sources of nutrition; the predominant protein is a type of protease inhibitor that may have cancer-fighting properties. https://t.co/oCjRoBOYRe
@BrieRoulier@EmmaDArpinoRD@beh353 This is great to hear! I love eating chips and snacks, but I minimize the amount. I am glad to see it is supported by Emma. I believe you can eat anything in controlled amounts @beh353#beh353
@EmmaDArpinoRD Hi thank you for taking your time and explaining the roles and importance of a dietician & nutritionist! I did not know they worked in hospitals to help assess patients with eating disorders and malnourishment @beh353#beh353
@nutrition_facts This is amazing to hear. I have a few family members that have Type 2 Diabetes. I will start encouraging them to have a better diet and change of lifestyle. Not many people know about this. @beh353#beh353
Through lifestyle changes alone, you may be able to achieve a complete remission of type 2 diabetes, even if you’ve been suffering with the disease for decades. See our videos on diabetes here at https://t.co/iqSJahiMwm.
@BrieRoulier@beh353 This is good to know. It is really shocking how fast boosting artery function. I learned a new fact today. It is also good to know because I already have grapes and berries in my daily diet. @beh353#beh353
I chose this article because it gives you great details on why you need to take key nutrients when you are pregnant. It also explains how much weight you should expect to gain and what foods to avoid. @beh353#beh353

@foodsafetygov This is great to see! Growing up my mom would always leave hot foods outside for them to cool down before putting them in the fridge so I have been doing the same. Knowing I can immediately put it in the fridge is great to know! @beh353#beh353
Divide large amounts of food, such as roasts or big pots of chili, into shallow containers so they cool quickly, and refrigerate immediately. It’s OK to put hot food directly in the fridge. Leftovers should be refrigerated within 2 hours of preparing. https://t.co/IMAqh2OVkr
@BrieRoulier@beh353 This is true I agree! Cutting out food for long periods of time and the people tend to binge eat, which actually leads to weight gain. Suffering only to gain weight. There are better options to effectively lose weight rather than starving! @beh353#beh353
From the video clip, I learned to not judge and diagnose from what I only see. We need to take into consideration how the patient feels regardless of size. It will help me to treat patients in the future rather than just assuming the issues come from being obese. @beh353#beh353
@nutrition_facts This is great to know! I always eat a bowl of berries before I work out. Knowing that I am on the right path to a healthy diet is a good feeling. It is shocking how fruits with sugars help more than a diet without fruits @beh353#beh353
If you compare the effects of a diet restricting fructose from both added sugars and fruits to one that restricts fructose only from added sugars, people lost more weight even with the extra fruit than those whose diet restricted all fructose. https://t.co/mkWJxtyXjM
@giomary_mcphs@beh353 Wow, this is a shocking correlation. I would never have expected this. I wonder what the reasoning and research behind it are. It is indeed a very interesting fact @beh353#beh353
One thing I learned this week was that poverty and childhood obesity have a connection. Families with low-income can only afford cheap unhealthy foods which is the cause of obesity if consumed daily. I did not know they were indirectly linked #beh353@beh353
