So, $ICP is finally getting native $USDC through Circle’s CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol), no bridges, no wrappers, no middlemen. Burn on one chain, mint 1:1 on another, fully verified and backed by Circle itself. This isn’t some third-party wrap, this will finally be native, direct issuance.

This is will be massive for DeFi on $ICP. It means protocols can use real $USDC as collateral, for AMMs, lending, yield strategies, without the risk of bridge hacks or synthetic assets.

No more $ckUSDC. This is going to be proper stablecoin liquidity, native, verifiable, and frictionless.

It will also fits straight into $ICP's Chain Fusion vision; connecting Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, and other chains on-chain without relying on Web2. $USDC coming natively means $ICP will be one of the few chains where real DeFi can scale trustlessly across ecosystems.

No AWS RPCs, no centralized oracles, no off-chain "validators." Just code, consensus, and value, end to end.
