@kaepora Also, it is common to say thank you and goodbye multiple times before you actually step out or end a phone call. This is something I, as an american, am still not used to. Being too quick is considered turse.

The better answer is bow back but not as far as them. Remember your place in the social hierarchy. You are a customer, and they are grateful ypu partook of their service. Bow back, but not as deep.
