@Shiza_Kiwami 90% of remakes are subjectively worse than the originals. Announcing a remake effectively says "we prioritize low-effort products over exciting new games." Fans are divided into camps who don't love the same game. And modern remakes love to cram in obtrusive social commentary
@boltondynamics This is my biggest fear. I'm thinking Brandon Sanderson's writing advice could be helpful: don't start a novel (or big game) until you have several cool ideas you're dying to smash together and explore. One or two cool ideas won't sustain you
@adr1an4x Has Nintendo lost its charm? Nintendo games used to stand out because they were carefree and dare I say cute, but this doesn't look promising
@PhiloGroves Surely if you just refresh the page you'll get a completely new set of recommended videos. That should be the easiest and best UX decision ever. *refreshes page* π
@autumnoraki_ I thought it was a super cool idea at first but then I saw an achievement for getting the morph ball in Super Metroid (which you're forced to do within the first 30 seconds of the game). Knowing there are non-achievements like this totally killed it for me
@yamanakanobody You're respectful, hard working, determined. You gave the world pokemon, Mario, zelda, jrpgs, dragon ball, spirited away, samurai, ninja, the best photo film. Your culture is one of mastery and tradition. Your names are fun to pronounce. We β€ π―π΅
@VideoGameHstry I've narrowed it down to wind waker, Mario kart, superstar saga, THUG, jak 2, pokemon, harvest moon, final fantasy, or KOTOR lol. Man I miss when games were good. We're lucky if we get a single game of this quality per year nowadays
