The piston went out the side of the engine in my 4038 sprayer with 225 hrs on it. I got a bill from my dealer for $2,300 for hauling and labor. Going to send @JohnDeere a bill for lost time. @JohnDeere should quit giving NAACP money and start working on better quality control.

U.S. #corn ending stocks for 2019/20 lands well above the trade range at 2.181 billion bushels as the crop comes in larger than expected. New-crop demand was also reduced. Carryout for #soybeans lighter than expected on a lighter crop, despite a 100 mbu trim to new-crop exports.

NASS places U.S. #corn yield at 169.5 bpa, much larger than analysts thought. Here's a comparison with 2018 finals. The largest declines from a year ago are expected in Illinois (181 bpa), Indiana (166), and Ohio (160).

I was pulling this data for something I'm writing and was pretty stunned, just had to share.

USDA predicts #Brazil, #Argentina, and #Ukraine to export 99.5 million tonnes (3.9 bbu) of #corn in 2018/19 (52% more than last year). Previous record is 78.9 mmt in 2016/17.

I am seeing more crop bids that specify no glyphosate applications, but also mention Diquat can be used as a substitute.

Glyphosate LD50= 5600 mg/kg
Diquat LD50= 250 mg/kg
