@stoolpresidente@barstoolspringb You sent Rico home but think this is good content lmao. No one cares about what’s being said about someone who isn’t on the show anymore bf
Was on a Memphis space last night. A former college assistant coach spoke and said Memphis has been passed by High Point as a program. Between recent on-court success and NIL $, it is hard to argue.
This should be viewed as unacceptable by the Memphis administration.
So Penny admits he needs help and ask for it. AD says he will get it. Now the AD and President piss off donors. Being a Memphis fan ain’t for the weak. Shit is hard.
The list of former NBA players/coaches that hasn't been able to get it done in college is LONG. Here's some:
Penny Hardaway, Memphis
Juwan Howard, Michigan
Patrick Ewing, Georgetown
Chris Mullin, St. John’s
Jerry Stackhouse, Vanderbilt
Eddie Jordan, Rutgers
Mike Woodson, Indiana
Avery Johnson, Alabama
Mark Price, Charlotte
Isiah Thomas, FIU
Mike Dunleavy Jr., Tulane
Terry Porter, Portland
Donyell Marshall, Central Connecticut State
Corliss Williamson, Central Arkansas
Clemon Johnson, FAMU
Michael Curry, FAU
Walter McCarty, Evansville
Danny Manning, Wake Forest
Aaron McKie, Temple
Lindsey Hunter, Mississippi Valley State
Juan Dixon, Coppin State
Regardless of how many tweets & spaces we (you) do
Penny should be back at Memphis next season- a right afforded to him after Memphis’ 29 win campaign last season (not even a full calendar year ago)
If you remember
He deserves a chance to make this right & I think he will
