@atgarone@ironicsans@gruber I never grokked this mapping, so my Mac initialization script sets the key binding overrides outlined thus: https://t.co/3bSVzAfVFC.
@ChrisBunn21 @USMNT@blazindw@usmntonly@AmericanOutlaws Yes, yes and yes. Minor, but to really nail the theme, Waldos should have thirteen stripes.
And I want the Stars kit. Set it with 50 stars and [chef’s kiss emoji]!
@CLManos@tsrandall@davidenrich Thank you. Yeah, my date sat next to me and sobbed while I held her. Neither of us said a single word until I got her back home.
@thewaroncars Could y’all make a shirt with “Cars Ruin Cities” graphic on the front? (And without “The War on Cars” logo? It’s a lovely logo, but I’d esp. appreciate simplicity of just the above! Like y’all have with the sticker.)
@JaceDeloney@tcb@kimbui@kimbui I’m a non-Asian categorical non-rinser. My Vietnamese brother-in-law had questions when I didn’t rinse rice while making dinner for his and my sister’s family at their place. (Lady Bird Johnson’s Pedernales River Chili over rice, for my Texan friends.)
@mdahmus Not to defend parking garages—legit not the hill I want to die on—but I also believe (i.e. no data) them easier to replace than parking podium buildings. In other words, one feels semi-permanent while the other permanent-permanent.
@mdahmus It was one of many factors. The other main one being that one shouldn’t spend their entire life in one state. (I’m well-traveled, but those are nevertheless temporary experiences.)
@mdahmus Also, I’ll never forgive JMVC for carrying water for bad transit, thereby setting Austin back a decade and—this is no exaggeration—eventually resulting in my decision to leave the city.
@pushtheneedle@amyliztweets Progressive’s true blindspot. And the exact same story for my former longtime neighborhood of Bouldin Creek, Austin.
In addition to that Planetizen article, learning the term “drawbridge mentality” helped me understand why Austin is such a hostile city: https://t.co/1eBQwhncCy.
