In #Calgary the response to the state of emergency has been to deploy more peace officers to enforce payment.

City Council today adopted a motion to have the March low-income transit pass roll over to April.

This is the right action in a time of local emergency and it will do so much to help Calgary’s vulnerable population.

Today I took @takeETSalert #4 & #8 to get downtown! 🚌 It might be a bit slower but it stops just around the corner from my house & I enjoy meandering through my neighbourhood & can catch up on work instead of stressing about the drive.

I’ll be honest, I only take transit while travelling into the core. The $3.50 & additional commute time is barrier enough that I find myself hopping in my car. We need to prioritize public transit and that starts with significant investment 💰⬆️
