Not the first time Morocco humiliates Spain and certainly not the last. Whenever Spain is trying to undermine Morocco’s territorial sovereignty whether in public or in secret, the tacticians in Rabat comes up with a painful response.
In 2021 Morocco excluded Spanish ports from Operation Marhaba amid the diplomatic crisis. Spanish ports and southern businesses faced estimated losses of hundreds of millions to over €1 billion, with thousands of seasonal jobs at risk. Relations stayed frozen until March 2022, when Spain backed Morocco’s autonomy plan for Western Sahara as the most serious basis for a solution. Maritime links and full Marhaba traffic then resumed.
"Los marroquíes han sido nuestros maestros, y les debemos respeto". Joaquín Costa Martínez - 1884.
Los monumentos que hoy son el orgullo de España son MARROQUÍES... sean agradecidos.
Spanish soldiers posing with the heads of Moroccan civillians they had massacred in 1923.
Spain a vocal "Defender of Palestine" has itself a dark and brutal colonial past, nowhere more brutal than in Morocco.
The Rif War was a brutal colonial conflict in northern Morocco from 1921 to 1926. During this attempt to prevent Moroccan independence, Spanish and French forces crushed the Berber liberation movement led by Abd el-Krim, who had formed the Rif Republic after annihilating a Spanish army at Annual.
To break the will of the resistance, Spain dropped mustard gas and other chemical weapons from planes onto civillian villages, crops, and evwn poisoned water sources. They killed tens of tjosands of men, women and children.
The horrific burns, blindness, and cancers that followed were policy, they were deliberate. Then came the scorched earth, burning crops, poisoning wells, razing homes to starve out resistance.
Whole communities were wiped out or scattered. In the south, it was mass arrests, summary executions, torture camps to crush any hint of rebellion.
This is the very same Spain that still claims the Moroccan (African) territories of Ceuta and Melilla, are "Spanish"
Understand the history of some of those calling the loudest for "justice" in far off places, they are not so keen on calling for it closer to home.
@Botbekker1233@SyndesiIntl@txgermanbre Morocco can open the gates for the entire African continent and flood Europe with migrants as it is the African country with only 14 km distance to Europe. So Morocco has been protecting the borders of EU. They just showed that to Spain who actually needs who.
100 years ago, an estimated 63000 Spanish soldiers were killed during Spain's invasion of northern Morocco including 18000 at the Battle of Anoual. After that defeat Spain became the first country in history to use mustard gas against civilians. Its effects are still felt today.
@SmartRandomGuy Notice what they have in common brother. They are the same ones who believe George Galloway, Max Blumenthal etc are going to liberate Palestine and they believe Iran is fighting for Palestine. It’s an undeniable pattern clear as day.

He went to Ceuta, like many others to see the situation, curious of his own land and in his own words, to enter his own land which he is not allowed to enter, only to find a city like Fez or Meknes, nothing special about it.
What is the reward of Britain who occupied Palestine and handed it over to the Zionists or for having participated in all wars in the Middle East with the US ? Britain has always been a faithful servant and slave but now that they have become irrelevant they pretend otherwise.
This Trump recognition of Greater Morocco in Western Sahara is Morocco’s reward for being a faithful servant of Israel since 1965 and orchestrating the Ceuta ‘invasion’ farce this week to undermine Spain.
A Shia who talks about “disgrace to Islam” while his regime helped butcher hundreds of thousands of Sunnis in Syria and Iraq…
The same people who curse the Sahaba and our mother Aisha (رضي الله عنها) suddenly care about Morocco?
History didn’t forget.
Neither did the graves.
@RyLiberty We never put humans into chains or treated them like animals or had a national anthem that described black people as 3/4 of a human that was your racist country, built on genocide of the natives and land theft, just like your babies the Israelis. Focus back home in the US.
Not only are we Jewish and zionists who hate Palestine according to these people, but apparently we are also satan worshippers. It would be funny if it weren’t scary La hawla wala quwatta illa Billah…
Did you know the “Star of David” (occult Baal symbol) used to be on the flag of Morocco, before modern Israel existed? May want to look into the history of the Alawite dynasty.
We discussed this in my Becoming Brigitte series. Pedophiles (like Emmanuel Macron’s favorite author Andre Gide ) would regularly go to Morocco with the express purpose of raping Muslim boys. Occult worshippers always harm children.
Spain— stay strong. The world knows what is happening and exactly who is behind it. 🇪🇸
The dates cut the other way, Carolina.
Ceuta was Moorish from 709 to 1415,
Melilla from 700s to 1497.
Both were ruled for 7 centuries by the Idrisids, Almoravids, Almohads and Marinids, dynasties governing from Fez and Marrakesh,
the direct predecessors of the Moroccan state.
Portugal took Ceuta at sword-point in 1415, Castile took Melilla in 1497, the same decade it expelled the Moors from Granada.
If conquest date settles ownership, those same dynasties held Cordoba and Seville for longer than Spain has held Ceuta.
But.
Good news.
You can sleep at night.
Morocco will never take them back. Because the statesmen running the country aren't as stupid as the people calling for conquest.
I think it's astonishing how Whites claim Spain to be the owners of those lands, while Arabs claim that they belong to Morocco,
when both camps should be pushing for the complete opposite.
All you need is half a brain to understand that those lands are worth far more to Morocco as Spanish cities than they would ever be as Moroccan ones.
Put it this way.
They are the only places on Earth where the EU can be reached on foot from Africa.
This immigration crisis is only possible because the soil on the other side of the fence is European.
Hand the cities to Morocco and they become two poor port towns with fish and more unemployment.
Keep them Spanish and they are the most profitable 30 square kilometers in the Mediterranean.
Over 1 billion euros in EU border payments, a US recognition of Western Sahara, a French one, a UN resolution, an EU trade deal, and a Spanish government that reversed 47 years of foreign policy after the last squeeze.
Morocco owns a tollbooth instead of lands they're supposed to own.
@KuUganda@mohammed_hijab You call yourself a panafricanist while supporting the European occupation of 2 African enclaves on the continent you claim to be for. Who is the idiot here ?
