Habbos, we’ve updated our recent article on the new Terms of Service: https://t.co/gNS5ClT5eS
The Terms now take effect on November 5th, giving us the opportunity to explain the changes clearly.
.COM’s guidelines on user-made games have also been updated: https://t.co/wmR4LTae24
We know you have questions, and we’ll share more when we can.
Thanks for your patience 🙏
Quite a few of you mentioned building and hosting games in my last post. Which player-made room or game deserves more visitors? Share a screenshot and the hotel. I’d like to check a few out. #Habbo
@A3aestr Chance-based games with tradable prizes can raise regulatory questions, and Habbo faces those challenges too. I’m following the discussion but am not directly involved in the decision. I’ll try to help and see if there’s a workable middle ground.
@ImFerraz_ Player-made content is the core what keeps Habbo alive. I’d give it a couple more days to see how things develop and whether there’s further clarification.
@iPhoneX10X@IAmReallyBore Thanks for explaining the setup, and for giving so much back to the community 🙏 I’d give it a couple more days to see how things develop and whether there’s further clarification.
@JussuC I wasn’t involved in the rule change. I’ve spent the past few days getting to know what players enjoy and create, including games potentially affected by it—even if the timing seems comical.
@ArlistonEs Habbo has a lot of interconnected systems, so finding the cause of a problem can take time. Some things that should have been tackled over the years are only being addressed now. I understand why a crash right before an LTD release is especially frustrating.
@Layxnsfh We’re very open to ideas for gathering more representative feedback. The tricky part is that whoever gathers it brings their own perspective, including which opinions they include or leave out. How would you approach that?
@Layxnsfh Revenue goals, existing roadmap commitments and player requests all compete for limited resources. @Muumiopappa and I have been working on plans to address some of these challenges.
@trielina92 What is it about collectibles and NFTs that’s kept you playing? The collecting itself, what you can do with them, or the community around them?
@xDownZ I don’t know the details of these cases, but players should be able to understand what’s allowed and why. @Habbo could you flag this with our support team?
@Layxnsfh It’s tricky. Feedback isn’t always representative, harassment can make staff hesitant to speak openly or try new things, and feedback can get lost internally. There are competing priorities too. None of that means we should stop listening or explaining decisions.
