Poet Erin Fornoff returns to #ILFDublin with a powerful live launch of her new epic poem We Are An Archipelago — the story of ninety-nine-year-old Bill, who returns to the island of his birth, and Deena, a young pregnant woman fleeing a difficult past. As a hurricane approaches, their unlikely friendship becomes a lifeline.
This special performance features a full band, including renowned pianist Patrick O’Laoghaire (I Have A Tribe), double bassist Caimin Gilmore (Hozier, Lisa Hannigan, Ye Vagabonds) and legendary drummer Dominic Mullan.
Blending story, sound and lyricism, this promises to be an evening of emotional depth and musical brilliance.
Presented with support from Poetry Ireland.
