@tradsnapewife@ErinFarrellRos1@kidneygate@summerbrennan I *do* think someone in her life should tell her to get off social media during this period, since the way she's acting clearly isn't healthy for her or anyone else, but that's a different conversation.
@tradsnapewife@ErinFarrellRos1@kidneygate@summerbrennan I think Brennan should be held to account, just not while she's in the middle of a traumatic event:
a) give her a chance to re-think & apologise when not in a trauma state
b) bad timing will distract from the conversation and make it easier to dismiss the underlying issue.
@tradsnapewife@ErinFarrellRos1@kidneygate@summerbrennan To me that dynamic is more like when a checkmark claims legit criticism is 'harassment' & uses that in itself to shut down said criticism. Not when someone is literally in the midst of a terrible, traumatic life event and might not be thinking clearly or acting rationally.
@tradsnapewife@ErinFarrellRos1@kidneygate@summerbrennan Approach her again when she isn't literally sitting by a parent's deathbed & maybe you'll get a more clear-headed response. Maybe even an apology – or not – but it'd be more human to give her that opportunity rather than calling her a 'crybully' while she's mid-traumatic-incident
@tradsnapewife@ErinFarrellRos1@kidneygate@summerbrennan I would suggest that she might not be thinking clearly precisely because of the intensely upsetting situation she's in. What she's doing isn't right, but this whole conversation has been about approaching people with empathy and not jumping to conclusions, no?
@kidneygate@summerbrennan Also thank you for all your work in bringing the truth to light in this case. The complete paucity of proper research or journalistic integrity from the 'professionals' has been horrible (though sadly unsurprising) to witness...
@kidneygate@summerbrennan The meta angle of checkmarks plagiarising and taking credit from 'unknowns' while covering a story about that exact dynamic is galling (!!!) but I think that conversation will be much more effective when one party isn't in the middle of an overwhelming personal crisis.

@SamfromtheUS @Autism@Sia I watched this beautiful film at a festival years ago, it made me cry and stayed in my mind long afterwards. I didn't realise at the time that I was autistic.
