@MrsPABBK @benmauk certain sites (like substack, & apparently private groups on facebook) give you very detailed metrics about who is engaging with your posts. that can have a weird effect on how you perceive those very people, who may not even know that *you* know what they've been consuming
such an interesting question posed in this thread. (indeed, i did not think there'd be an under-discussed aspect of this story, but this is a new one to me)
