@nejatian Such a misleading tweet just to confuse shareholders. The proxy advisors didn't recommend voting against you or anyone on the board, they recommended voting against your (non-binding) executive compensation proposal. You're tricking people to think they're trying to fire you.
Question - If SpaceX, Anthropic & OpenAI have unlimited access to capital in the private markets, and it is well known that being a public company and needing to adhere to SEC regulations is a nightmare, then why would they possibly want to go public?
(Yes, I know the answer, just curious who else does too.)
@KobeissiLetter Don't higher treasury yields typically result in lower stock prices? Institutions move their money from stocks to bonds as interest rates increase. I don't understand the sentiment that this is good for asset prices.
@TheSwingTraderr You've been correct and I greatly appreciate your analysis and videos. Can you please let me know when we've bottom though? 1-2 days advance notice would be appreciated, thx!
@KobeissiLetter The analysis in all your recent articles is fantastic. However, over the past year until late January you posted "own assets or be left behind" about a million times. Anyone who took that advice from you in the past six months has been burned. You should address that advice.
I have read Search and Seizure Warrant against The Lodge in full, and it does appear to be a witch hunt.
Essentially, they're deeming poker in TX illegal and therefore classifying what we'd consider normal banking transactions as money laundering because it's proceeds from what they say is illegal gambling.
All the undercover operations outlined in the affidavit describe a normally functioning, well-run poker room.
To me, nothing in it suggests what we in the poker world would consider scandalous/nefarious, but rather authorities simply taking a stance on the grey area/loophole that they consider illegal.
If the TABC ultimately prevails that poker at The Lodge constitutes illegal gambling, it’ll shut down every room in TX.

Of course that's your contention. You're a first-time SaaS bear. You just got finished listening to some podcast, Dario on Dwarkesh, probably. Now you think it’s the end of white collar work and seat-based pricing is screwed. You're gonna be convinced of that til tomorrow when you get to “Something Big is Happening”. Then you’ll install ClawdBot on a Mac Mini, vibe code a dashboard on top of a postgres database and say we’re all just a couple ralph loops away from building a Salesforce competitor. That’s gonna last until next week when you discover context graphs, and then you're gonna be talking about how the systems of record will be disintermediated by an agentic layer and reposting OAI marketing graphics.
“Well, as a matter of fact, I won't, because ultimately the application layer is just ….”
The application layer is just business logic on top a CRUD database. You got that from Satya’s appearance on the BG2 pod, December 2024, right? Yeah, I saw that too. Were you gonna plagiarize the whole thing for us? Do you have any thoughts of your own on this matter? Or...is that your thing? You get into the replies of anyone posting a SaaS ticker. You watch some podcast and then pawn it off as your own idea just to impress some VCs and embarrass some anon who’s long SaaS? See the sad thing about a guy like you is in a couple years you're gonna start doing some thinking on your own and you're gonna come up with the fact that there are two certainties in life. One: don't do that. And two: you dropped thirty grand on Mac Minis and LLM API calls to come to the same conclusion you could’ve got for free by following a handful of VC accounts.
This is the best video I've seen. It looks pretty clear
1. She's turning away from the agent
2. Agent pulls a gun & doesn't move
3. Driver brushes the agent as she's making a hard right away from him
4. Agent reaches in the window and fires even after he is no longer in the path
This slowed-down video shows the first shot wasn’t fired until the vehicle made contact (or what appears to be contact) with the officer. You all can make up your own minds, but actually watch the video for yourself rather than relying on others to give information you want to hear.
The US is now doing the kind of things we used to make fun of banana republics for doing when I was a kid.
I know not all the people who supported this man are idiots. Is there a point where the non-idiots say "enough is enough?"
@ramit Figure out who they got the inheritance from, because it's not possible to save up a $1.35M net worth with a $164k pretax income in your thirties, before even taking into account their large monthly budget deficit.
@Jason@GavinNewsom@RoKhanna This is a terrible idea bc thousands of people (+ bots) would submit bs, wasting state resources & even more taxpayer dollars chasing down garbage. States & cities already have auditing functions & IGs for this, so people should just demand more resources + authority for IGs.
@Sofia480582719@CTULocal1 And movies used to cost a dime. Are you willing to haul your own trash to a landfill each week to save $5? If not, you're getting great value for the service, even if the price doubled.
@CitizenVMachine The proposed fee is less than $5 per weekly pickup. I consider it a good value to have a truck show up weekly and haul my trash away for that price. If others don't agree, haul your own trash to a landfill and save the $5/wk.
@davidsacks47 Haha, Sacks to ChatGPT "write a post in the style of Trump about how great AI is & how we need federal regulations bc states are woke. Be sure to mention black George Washington, like I bring up on my pod every week."
I'm sorry, by Trump didn't write this post with an EM DASH
@jeff_weinstein@atlas Got it. I think an argument could be made either way for creating the option pool at incorporation or at time of fundraise. Having more cap table functionality, with the ability to issue the options to employees, would be great for another tab in atlas :)
