The high: being amongst such a supportive team 🫶🏼

The low: imposter syndrome

Sometimes, we can't just throw money at the problem.

Lack of diversity in medicine is one of those problems.

While free tuition helps, it alone can't make up for centuries of institutional racism and structural disadvantage -- income inequality, residential segregation, etc. -- that have excluded minority communities from participating in the field of medicine.

We can and must do more.
