Oburu Odinga is alive and well.
His office has dismissed fake death reports circulating online.
He is recovering steadily after a routine medical check-up. ODM Chair Gladys Wanga visited him today and confirmed he is in high spirits.
Ignore the rumours.
@AokoOtieno_ The iPhone and chihuahua line is doing a lot of work for you. People clock the quality of the takes, not the brand of the phone. If the standard for “not spewing tea” is “I once had a staff card,” half of X would be foreign correspondents
@AokoOtieno_ You don’t get to declare someone dead because you “feel” it or because some blogger said so. That’s not courage. That’s reckless, attention-seeking garbage. Delete the post, apologize without the drama. The man is breathing. Your certainty was pure bullshit.
How Jomo Kenyatta changed from being Kamau wa Muigai, to Kamau wa Ngengi, to Johnstone Kamau wa Ngengi, to Johnstone Kenyatta, and finally, to Jomo Kenyatta

🚨 ARE WE HEADING TO HAITI? The Dangerous Return of Political Thuggery in Kenya! 🚨
To the youth who accept a few shillings to carry arrows, rungus, and stones into political rallies: you are trading your future and your dignity for pennies. When you cause chaos in Nyahururu or Kisumu, you are not fighting for a cause; you are acting as disposable shields for leaders who will never know your name or care about your well-being. If a bullet flies—just like it did today, injuring an innocent driver—it is you or your peers who will bleed on the tarmac, while the politician is whisked away in an armored vehicle to their safe suburban home. Stop allowing yourselves to be weaponized against your own brothers and sisters. A country built on hired violence offers no jobs, no future, and no safety for anyone, least of all you.
To our politicians, from governors and senators to local organizers: this reliance on "goonism" to settle political scores is a cowardly, short-sighted gamble that will eventually consume you too. When you hire armed youth to silence your rivals or disrupt peaceful assemblies, you are actively dismantling the rule of law. Do not think you can ride the tiger of political violence without eventually being swallowed by it. If you cannot advance your agenda through ideas and peaceful persuasion, then you have no business leading Kenyans. The moment you resort to violence, you lose all legitimacy to govern.
History has already shown us the devastating cost of playing this dangerous game. We must remember that the dark periods of our past—from the state-sponsored clashes of the 1990s to the brink of total collapse in 2007/2008—all began exactly like this: with politicians funding private youth militias, exploiting ethnic vulnerabilities, and normalising local thuggery for temporary political leverage. In those dark chapters, it wasn't the political elite who lost their livelihoods, slept in IDP camps, or buried their children; it was ordinary, hardworking citizens. We have walked this bloody path before, and we know exactly where it leads. To revive these tactics today is not just political irresponsibility—it is a betrayal of everything Kenya has bled to overcome.
Kenya is not a playground for warlords, and we refuse to be dragged down the path of broken, lawless states like Haiti. We are watching, we are documenting, and we will remember who sowed the seeds of division when election cycles roll around. Security is our constitutional right, not a political favor. The leaders who trigger this chaos and the goons who execute it must be held personally accountable before they burn down the very fabric of our nation.

@gladyswanga Homabay has its good side but the lack of democracy or freedom to say one or two term is what is really scary for others with different political ideologies
Not upgrading your phone every year is normal. Driving an older, fully paid-off car is normal. Buying clothes on sale is normal. A simple kitchen, mismatched furniture, a small TV… all normal.
What is not normal:
Going into debt just to look rich.
Understand this: having financial peace is better than looking like you have money.
Goons are everywhere even in Religious places, they should be put on a leash.
The other day they were physicaly assaulting our learned medics with crude weapons.
If they are addressed, opposition will use it against him, "you can not kill us and lead us'
Transparency in public appointments is important for public confidence. Hon Mike Makarina is raising the issue while Murkomen And DavisChirchir and Non Tribal Leadership remain in focus. #MakarinaSpeaks.
