@TheDevilsDNA It’s a bit like how Newcastle have recruited for their midfield, which still lacks a top natural DM. Might work if you can find a balance between the pivot players regarding who sits and who goes up at different points. But player instincts can kick in which makes it tough.

@TheDevilsDNA Maybe title-challenging is a stretch but we have certainly played like a comfortable CL team this season with him on the pitch. I find it unfair to think that this was possible with any average DM; if so, people wouldn't be sweating about our midfield at the start of this season.

@TheDevilsDNA I think in xG terms, the difference could be even more pronounced, given that we have the 5th lowest xG conceded in the league. United might be performing close to title challenging ability in terms of underlyings with Casemiro on the pitch this season.

@TheDevilsDNA Sustaining a rate of conceding 1 goal per game would by itself place us as the 3rd best defence in the league going by goals conceded. Don't find it fair to move the goalposts on what is considered good just to fit the opinion of 'Case has been okay, not good, this season'.
