Hon’ble Chief Minister Punjab, S. @BhagwantMann, today joined the @PunjabPoliceInd family at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur, for a state-level interaction with All 384 SHOs, 119 Subdivisional DSPs, 28 CPs/SSPs, 08 Range DIGs/IGs, & senior officers, including Chief Secretary, Special DGP Law & Order, Additional DGP ANTF and others on Punjab’s fight against drugs under #YudhNashianVirudh.

The interaction was attended by Range IGs, DIGs, CPs, SSPs, SPs, Sub-Divisional DSPs, All 384 jurisdictional SHOs in the State, except those on emergent duty, for a direct exchange of views, field-level experiences and suggestions. The Hon’ble CM appreciated the dedicated efforts of officers at the cutting edge of policing and their valuable contribution to the ongoing campaign against drugs. He exhorted the police officers to work with dedication and professionalism, leaving no stone unturned in the fight against drugs.

Officers who have demonstrated outstanding performance in strengthening law & order and taking decisive action against drugs and crime were honoured with commendations and cash rewards, including the 10 best-performing SHOs. The bravery, dedication and sacrifices of Punjab Police personnel in this war against drugs are a source of pride for the entire force.

This recognition will further strengthen the resolve of every Punjab Police officer to confront drug networks with courage, professionalism and determination.

After the interactions,the Hon’ble Chief Minister participated in bada khana, and had lunch with all ranks of Punjab Police.

Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.

Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.
