I asked Ai if this was a big deal. This was the response:
Yes—this is a big deal for Ripple. The statement is accurate: today, July 6, 2026, Ripple announced that it received full CASP authorization from Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, moving from its preliminary approval in June to full compliance under Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation. That gives Ripple a regulated path to offer crypto-asset services across all 30 countries of the European Economic Area.
Why I think it matters
One approval opens 30 markets. Ripple does not need to pursue a separate crypto-service license country by country. The MiCA framework allows an authorized CASP to operate across the EEA.
It completes Ripple’s European regulatory stack. Ripple already had an EU Electronic Money Institution license. Combining the EMI license with the new CASP authorization lets European banks, fintechs, and corporations access a broader stack involving fiat, crypto assets, stablecoins, collections, exchange, and payouts.
The timing is important. This comes just after MiCA’s final transition period ended, meaning full authorization is becoming much more important for companies that want to serve European clients at scale.
It lowers the regulatory objection for banks. Large financial institutions generally want regulated counterparties. This license does not guarantee adoption, but it removes a major barrier to doing business with Ripple.
The important distinction for XRP
For Ripple the company, I’d rate this 9/10 significant.
For XRP specifically, I’d rate the immediate impact closer to 6/10.
The reason is that this is a Ripple license, not an XRP adoption mandate. Banks and corporations can use Ripple’s infrastructure without every transaction necessarily creating major XRP demand. The biggest XRP impact comes if this license leads to actual transaction volume that uses XRP or the XRP Ledger, rather than primarily fiat and Ripple USD.
The part I would watch most closely now is which European banks and payment companies Ripple announces as customers under this license. That will tell us whether this is mainly a regulatory milestone—or the beginning of a major expansion in real payment volume.
My bottom line: this is one of Ripple’s more meaningful regulatory wins. It is not automatically a “XRP price explodes tomorrow” event, but it gives Ripple something it has spent years building toward: a fully regulated gateway to institutional crypto payments across most of Europe. @Ripple@DigPerspectives@XRPBags@RipBullWinkle
I went to the Buckle yesterday and after getting home, I realized it had crypto writing on it. Are most of the financial systems using crypto behind the scenes now because I would assume so. 🤷♂️ @DigPerspectives@digitalassetbuy@RipBullWinkle
If you think that we’re making serious progress socially in the US, you’re wrong.
This video is 13 years old. Peak woke died in 2017. Most of you have no idea how good we once had it.
@HOUSEPORN___ It said nothing about where you lived. 😂😂😂😂. You would sit back and watch total destruction happen! It would be better than any show you could watch on TV. 😂😱😂😱
Wall Street is ROBBING YOU.
At what point does @SECGov actually DO SOMETHING about this fraudulent system?
Shut down the FED. Arrest the bankers, hedge fund managers, and market makers that are responsible for these crimes.
Americans and the world deserve better.
