Today, I’m officially announcing my candidacy for Mayor of Delano.
For the past 12 years, I’ve had the honor of serving this community on the Delano City Council.
I’ve met so many of you at local events, downtown businesses, church, youth activities, and simply around town talking about where Delano is headed.
Delano isn’t just where my family lives, it’s home.
Our city is growing, and growth can bring opportunity, but it has to be done responsibly.
I don’t want Delano to become just another crowded suburb where traffic keeps getting worse, taxes continue to rise, and families feel pushed out of the community they love.
We must protect our small town character.
Over the next four years, my focus will be simple and practical. Guide growth responsibly so our infrastructure and public safety can keep pace. Continue pushing for transportation improvements and stronger long term planning. Bring more fiscal discipline to city government by focusing on needs over wants and supporting projects that benefit the entire community, not just a vocal few.
I also believe city decisions should always be based on qualifications, real results, and what is best for Delano residents.
Over the years, I’ve fought for safer roads, responsible budgeting, stronger protections for families, and policies that help keep Delano a place where working people can afford to live, raise a family, and build a future.
I’m running for mayor because I believe the best decisions come from listening to neighbors, working together, and putting the community first.
I’d truly appreciate your support as we move toward the 2026 election.

And… That’s a wrap for the 2026 MN GOP state convention this past weekend.
I was honored to have a role inside of the Kendall Qualls campaign which eventually received the endorsement to become governor of MN.
It was a fun weekend with lots of hard work, making connections, talking to hundreds of MN delegates and voters.
I’m always very grateful for the opportunities and privileges that are presented to me by the community of Delano through being a city councilman.
Officially filed for reelection! It’s an honor and a privilege to serve our community and represent Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District in Congress. We’ve achieved a lot together, and there’s more important work ahead. Thank you for your continued support, friendship, and prayers. Jacquie and I are grateful! 🇺🇸
One of the biggest concerns I hear when talking with Delano residents is simple.
Everything costs more than it used to.
Whether it’s groceries, property taxes, utility bills, housing costs, or just everyday expenses, a lot of families are feeling the squeeze. People are working hard, doing the right things, and still finding it harder to get ahead.
I hear it from young families trying to buy their first home. I hear it from parents raising kids. I hear it from retirees living on fixed incomes.
If I earn your trust and have the privilege of serving as your mayor this fall, I will work hard to keep Delano affordable, protect what makes our community special, and create opportunities for future generations to thrive right here at home.
That starts with growth.
Growth is important, but it has to make sense. We cannot approve development faster than our roads, schools, utilities, public safety services, and other infrastructure can support. When growth gets ahead of infrastructure, taxpayers often end up paying the bill.
I support responsible growth that protects the character of our community while making sure we are planning for the future.
We also need to continue creating opportunities right here in Delano.
I want to see more locally owned businesses succeed, more entrepreneurs open their doors, and more employers invest in our community. I will work to make city government responsive and practical so businesses can spend less time dealing with bureaucracy and more time creating jobs.
I also believe we should actively pursue opportunities in areas like light manufacturing and agriculture that fit our community and provide good paying jobs close to home.
When people can live, work, and raise a family in the same community, everyone benefits. Less time commuting. More support for local businesses. More investment staying right here in Delano.
At the end of the day, affordability is not about one big solution. It is about making smart decisions, managing growth responsibly, supporting local jobs, and being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.
If we do those things well, we can keep Delano a place where families want to live, businesses want to invest, and future generations can afford to stay.
That is the future I want to help build together.

It is rare to find a gubernatorial record as uniform in its failures, but Tim Walz delivered it.
And Amy Klobuchar’s problem is that she has spent nearly two decades as a leading figure in the same DFL establishment that enabled the Walz era and its most defining failures.
I am honored to have the support and endorsement of Kendall Qualls, one of our leading candidates for governor of Minnesota!
Vote Qualls for governor and Franzen for mayor of Delano.

I don't know how "democracy" is exercised through a partisan 13 member committee that ignores, and doesn't even concern itself with, the will of 6 million Minnesotans.
But... sure.
The Star Tribune is running a puff piece portraying Amy Klobuchar as a moderate.
Don’t buy it.
Amy Klobuchar praised Tim Walz every step of the way throughout his tenure as governor.
Nothing changes if Minnesotans keep electing the same people who have been running this state for the last 30 years.
She will Spanberger Minnesota faster than she can throw a stapler at an intern.
It couldn't be more clear that black "representation" has nothing to do with electing people who "look like me."
It has always been about Democrat power.
🚨 Minnesota Rep. Leigh Finke (D) says it’s “Eradicationist” to verify U.S. citizenship and voter eligibility as they try to “build a vibrant trans capital of America.”
Every single Democrat voted with Finke to block voter verification in Minnesota.
Legitimately insane.
🚨 Minnesota Democrats just voted against requiring the Secretary of State to verify that every voter is a U.S. citizen and legally eligible to vote in our elections.
If you thought the daycare and Medicaid fraud was bad… just imagine how bad the election fraud is.
Tim Walz and the Democrat trifecta spent an $18 billion surplus, raised taxes by $10 billion and enabled a culture of fraud that stole billions more. Amy Klobuchar endorsed Walz for vice president and then she endorsed him again for a third term as governor. Minnesotans are ready for real change. Klobuchar is just more of the same.
