Microsoft doesn't want you to know this

[Mitchell Hashimoto @mitchellh]

@poojabnf I read the code

🧠 One of the most useful JavaScript APIs that I never knew existed:

.toLocaleString()

Easily format numbers and dates into pretty much anything you want...

Preact is severely underrated.

If you have to explain your design, it’s bad design.

Can you believe these slides are full page loads to completely new HTML pages‽

CSS Tip! ✨

Creating particle effects with scoped custom properties and transform-origin 👀

Had a few questions about the way they work in this demo. They all use the same animation. But, the transform-origin combined with mask creates the illusion 👇

@piccalilli_ @setstudiotweets @stevedesigner Love the site, on the topic of cache busting, this gives a good balance of fresh files when needed whilst using the cache where possible. Bytes over the wire to do a revalidation check.

Cache-Control: public, max-age=0, s-maxage=60, must-revalidate

Needs ETag headers also

The best way to ensure good code is to have a good organization.

This paper from Microsoft looking at 50M lines of code found that organizational factors were far more powerful in explaining the number of bugs than any technical aspect of the project. https://t.co/4Sxwuug6N5

It's amazing how small tweaks can compound in UI design.

Fiddling with just three properties changes the feel of something drastically.
