@BettingNetwork_@EVLongshots Correct. However, the whole word assumes the series is over and NY wins G3. Yet line hasn't moved. Books are tusting their power rankings. It's going to be either a layup for the public or a public bloodbath.
@johnewing@BetMGM@nyknicks@spurs Line seems fishy short. Most everyone believes the series is over. Assuming the whole world will be on NY yet no movement. Layup of the century or public bloodbath? ๐ค
@Sports_Kings_ The transfer portal just closed at noon today. Which was about 25 minutes ago. So he can't leave now unless he just put his name in the portal this morning.
@putmeincoach03@tonyhuneyc@schizohawk@brauf33 Both can be true. He turned down an opportunity to interview which means he wasn't interested in the job. However, there's no evidence UNC was interested enough to offer the job. They were simply doing their due diligence in interviewing several different potential hires.
@pontymython631@WilliamMcCall_ The vitriol from some Arizona fans the last few days is a bit disturbing. The outreach to Lloyd was simply how capitalism and the free marketplace in America works. However, they seem to have taken it very personally for some reason and became very angry. Bizarre behavior.
@WilliamMcCall_ I don't think the portal would "be shot" by waiting for BD. Any big name guys who put their hat in the portal are probably going to want to see who the next coach at UNC is. I'm sure they would be advised to do so in many instances. It would be the smart thing for them to do.
@samw4567@ChaseC22813@WilliamMcCall_ Hope you're right. I'm not sure if we can come up with that kind of money considering all that we spent in football already. We shall see.
@ChaseC22813@WilliamMcCall_ In my opinion yes. I dislike dook as the next Carolina fan but I want to also do what's best for the Carolina program....which would be getting Lloyd.
@WilliamMcCall_ I agree. However, as Carolina fans, we are in the dubious and bizarre position of potentially needing to pull for dook to beat Arizona (if Michigan can't) if we want to have any shot at Lloyd. If he wins the natty, he's not coming to UNC in my opinion.
@sgorten@samw4567@Andrew_Forrest1 Counterpoint. Donovan has NBA coaching experience which in theory would appeal to recruits. Also, there's a GM in place to handle the nil issues. Not to mention he's familiar with that issue because of NBA free agency and the salary cap.
@samw4567@sgorten@Andrew_Forrest1 Actually, I think it will be more difficult for him to leave if he wins the championship. Slightly easier if he loses in the semis in my opinion.
@sgorten@samw4567@Andrew_Forrest1 In my opinion, I think Donovan should be the first choice. I understand he's been away from the game for a while and he's older but his coaching success is undisputable. With Lloyd your betting more on potential.
