My piece in today’s @ObserverUK - mixed views on this deal and the delivery sector. For some a dazzling act of business disruption from @Deliveroo with @WillShuRoo well worth his £172m payday. For others, a parasitic proposition where no one really wins

Delhi AQI: How China won pollution battle as Delhiites choke to death
We are nowhere near Beijing on public push or political will. @DalrympleWill this needs a private campaign and a pool of capital. We wait for government; we wait in vain https://t.co/6smtxCmaHZ
We are very honoured by your love and appreciation for our Momo.
Thank you @AlongImna sir.
It’s been a decade long journey for us. Starting as a fine dining restaurant to now two cloud kitchens in Delhi. Not an easy journey, but thrilled to be here.

‘Numero uno’: US takes aim at Gautam Adani https://t.co/ZVxNBPST87 via @ft@gautam_adani nephew had his phone taken by FBI agents? Hm. Who knows this ins and outs of this case but WhatsApp messages on your phone while in the States? Emails all over the place?
US prosecutors in New York have indicted Adani Group Chairman #GautamAdani, his nephew Sagar Adani and 6 others for allegedly offering Rs 2,029 crore (US $265 million) in bribes to Indian govt officials for securing “lucrative #solar energy supply contracts” with state electricity distribution companies.
“This indictment alleges schemes to pay over $250 million in bribes to Indian govt officials, to lie to investors and banks to raise billions of dollars, and to obstruct justice,” a press release issued by US Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York, said.
Sources in the #AdaniGroup said the charges in the indictment are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

@peterfrankopan@dwallacewells Yes. Dire. But not an easy matter to solve. New rice seed variants (versus old Monsanto) might help to better align the crop cycle with the seasonal cycle Peter. Come see us! Jasper
The air in Delhi today is the worst I remember it in two years here. You can’t spend more than a few minutes outdoors without gasping and feeling ill. Indoors is not much better, even with air purifiers. 😷 ☠️ 🇮🇳
Yep. Consumer markets wobbly (I’ve built 2 companies in India); not getting easier to do business (it’s harder); GST in sectors like restaurants is shot; cost of capital is nuts. Who does well - the biggest guys. 1% of India hold 40% of its wealth and that ain’t changing

Big fat tariffs don’t work. I see it all the time in India and it holds our economy down.
