Today marks another major milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s journey to becoming India’s AI and advanced manufacturing capital. Delighted to join Carrier Chairman & CEO David Gitlin and the Carrier leadership team for the groundbreaking of their ₹863 crore state-of-the-art chiller manufacturing facility at Sri City.

As AI and hyperscale data centers expand rapidly, cooling infrastructure will become one of the most critical technologies powering the digital economy. Andhra Pradesh is moving beyond hosting data centers - we are building the manufacturing ecosystem that powers them!

This is a historic and defining moment for #AndhraPradesh. With the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2026 being passed unanimously in both Houses of Parliament, the collective will and aspirations of our people have found a resounding voice at the national level.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for his unwavering support and steadfast commitment to the aspirations of our state. He has stood resolutely by #Amaravati at every crucial juncture, from laying its foundation stone on October 22, 2015, to reinvigorating its progress and reaffirming its vision on May 2, 2025. I also thank the Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji and the Government of India for their pivotal role in steering this forward. My sincere thanks to all parties and Hon’ble Members of Parliament whose support rose above differences and reaffirmed Amaravati as the sole Praja Rajadhani.

After the bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh stood without a capital facing many challenges and uncertainties. Through these times, it was the unparalleled sacrifice, trust, and resilience of Amaravati’s farmers that kept this dream alive. This moment is a tribute to them.

This decision brings long awaited stability to our state and marks a new era of empowerment, confidence, and progress for every citizen of Andhra Pradesh.

Amaravati’s status as the capital is now firmly secured, beyond doubt, beyond debate, and beyond change. Amaravati is unstoppable, the heart of Andhra Pradesh and a future pride of the nation.

Came across this thoughtful post on LinkedIn - one of the most compelling descriptions of modern city-building I’ve read in a while. It argues for cities designed with clarity and purpose: less drama, less performative emotion, less obsession with “soul,” and far more focus on planning, efficiency, and systems that simply work. When infrastructure is reliable and rules are clear, people are free to live, work, and aspire without friction. Good cities don’t need noise or nostalgia. They need discipline, and execution.

I had a productive meeting with John Radko, Senior VP at OpenText - a global leader in Enterprise Information Management and AI. I invited OpenText to explore investments in Andhra Pradesh across AI, Quantum Computing and next-gen digital technologies. Also proposed joint skill development & internship programs to equip our youth with world-class capabilities. I was happy to note OpenText’s interest in expanding into Tier-2 cities and evaluating AP’s proposals as part of their AI-first strategy.

I flew into Toronto today for my next leg of meetings. It was great to connect with Goldy Hyder, President & CEO of @BizCouncilofCan, in Toronto today. This is the premier business council for over 170 businesses employing over 2.1 million Canadians.
