Drainage waste flowing into the Mutha River from Koregaon Park, starting near the Westin Hotel and extending before the Kalyani Nagar Metro Station, is severely polluting the river. The continuous discharge of foul sewage, visible with white foam on the water surface, poses significant health risks to local residents, particularly those living in housing societies adjacent to the riverbanks.

The pollution is also endangering aquatic life and disrupting the food chain, which could lead to a rise in waterborne diseases and hospitalisations. Contaminated fish pose a risk to consumers, potentially leading to severe health issues or even death. Moreover, the stagnant sewage serves as an ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes, increasing the risk of malaria and dengue.

Birds feeding on the infected fish may also face health hazards. Immediate action is required by Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to stop the sewage flow into the Mutha River and mitigate the environmental and health impacts.

Road surfaces are riddled with potholes. The sides of many roads are strewn with garbage, most footpaths are uneven & taken over by illegal encroachment, traffic enforcement is abysmal, now we know that surveillance systems don’t work.
Pune admin has been consistently showing that they don’t care and or are corrupt. Pune political leaders (from all parties) have many times displayed their allegiance to gundas & anti-social elements. Either, not interested and or corrupt they don’t care to make Pune city better.

On those tens of hundreds of flex boards on every road of Pune you will see smiling of politicians or wanna be politicians. They are laughing at you Punekars!
