For many years I counted Charlie Kirk among my friends in the fight for freedom.

Charlie’s weapons were words & ideas.

He held no direct power over the life of any of the people that disagreed with him.

If his detractors disliked his words, they could choose not to listen. Or use their own words in the battle.

But the evil that is overtaking cannot win the battle of words or ideas.

And in America they cannot silence us when we share ours - so the weapon they chose was a high-powered rifle.

Charlie was a patriot at the deepest level. His life was a testament to his love of country, family, and his faith in God.

This event makes no sense because it is pure evil and it is contrasted by the absolute good to which Charlie dedicated his life.

But there should be zero doubt that one day we will look back and see what they intended for evil resulted in the destruction of that evil.

We will be sure of it and the story is already written.
