At The Sameer Project’s Refaat Alareer Camp, we care for patients living with conditions including celiac disease, cerebral palsy, broken jaws, and other medical complications that require specialized nutrition.

For these patients, a standard food parcel is not always enough. Their treatment plans require specific ingredients, textures, and nutritional support.

On October 14, our team delivered four medically tailored food parcels containing fresh vegetables, fruits, corn, and chicken breast, selected according to each family’s needs. The total cost for all 4 families was nearly $130 after 11% commission transactions fees.

As food insecurity worsens across Gaza and fresh produce becomes increasingly difficult to obtain, these deliveries are an essential part of our medical care. In the first video, you see me in the hospital, struggling as the medical staff try again and again to insert a needle into my hand so I can receive a blood transfusion. This is my reality of living with beta thalassemia major in Gaza. Even getting the treatment I need comes with pain and struggle.

In the second video, you see why I keep fighting: my wife and our three precious children. They are my whole world. I am a sick husband and father, trying to survive, receive treatment, and provide food and basic necessities for the people I love in a place where life has become unbearably difficult.
