@noemistauffer@venikunche Sticky notes everywhere. I put everything in my Google calendar and immediately use up all the notification slots to set reminders for things. I use alarms for several things throughout the day. I'm unmedicated right and it's hell.
Had a great talk with a mentor courtesy of @veterati, was able to cement a game plan for my portfolio and will begin applying for jobs this month. Used promises to for calling multiple endpoints for an API, pretty psyched about that. #momscancode#womenintech#codenewbie
@SALTformysquid Great reminder, and timely. I struggle really hard with handling my adhd kid;s emotional outbursts. Doesn't help I deal with the same thing.
I've been hacking away on @codeplatoon_org week one self-paced program for around a month now. Just getting in a small bit each day but have already learned so much. And I understand git! I can't wait to get to databases. #momscancode#programming#codenewbie#womenintech
Old article, but great explanation for why I can't "just sit down and code" when the kids are home all day. It puts it into smart words when all I can explain is "ARGHHHHHH" I'll never understand how you parents do it. https://t.co/XYVPFkJzXv #momscancode#womenintech
@saltnburnem Already been answered but it makes me feel like I know something so I'll say, it's an object whose state cannot be changed after creation. If you want to change it you need to reference it with a new variable, but the original will remain the same.
The biggest roadblock for me in the past year to being a developer is trying to design a portfolio website. I quit. I am not a designer. I don't care about colors or fonts, I just want to write the dang logic. What are the best portfolio websites for displaying my javascript?
@BekahHW@JesseRWeigel Oh gosh the portfolio is the hardest part!! I know how to do things, but being able to focus on one project long enough to finish without a concrete deadline to pressure me is hard. You've got this though. You are amazing and such an inspiration to me!
