Spent the morning in another "PM is dead" thread on Reddit. Some hard takes for the PMs in the panic.

1. If you're scared of being replaced by a Product Builder, answer this honestly: when's the last time you killed a feature already on the roadmap? If the answer is never, AI didn't replace you. You were a project manager with a different title.

2. The PMs who wrote 30-page PRDs nobody read are the same ones now panicking about the PRD-less workflow. The PRD wasn't the problem. The thinking inside it was.

3. "I can't keep up with all this AI stuff" is a tell. It usually means "I haven't shipped a learning project in years and I'm hoping nobody notices."

4. Engineers got faster. Designers got faster. If you didn't, the gap isn't your tools. It's your appetite for work that doesn't fit cleanly inside your job description.

5. Customer discovery has been the highest-leverage PM skill for a decade. AI didn't change that. AI made every other PM task cheaper, which means discovery is now where you actually compete.

6. The thread is full of PMs complaining that nobody appreciates their work. The PMs whose work gets appreciated rarely have time to post about it.

7. Read the Reddit thread. Then notice which PMs in your own org are quietly shipping more, talking to more customers, and writing shorter docs. They're not worried about Product Builders. Ask why.

I regularly go to this vendor for orange juice and coconut, so I talked with him.

He told me that he sells around 60 glasses of orange juice and about 25 coconuts every day.

60 glasses × ₹35 = ₹2100
25 coconuts × ₹60 = ₹1500
Total ₹3600 every day

He comes early in the morning and works from 6 am to 1 pm, and then again from 5 pm to 10 pm.

After removing the cost of materials and daily transport, he makes around 30% profit. That is about ₹1080 per day. So, ₹32,400/month. But he has to pay ₹6000 as rent to the shop owner just to stand there.

So even if he works all 30 days and stands there for 12 hours every day, he earns max. ₹26,400. And in reality, working all 30 days is not possible.

He said people think even ₹35 for a glass is expensive, but he only earns around ₹20-22K per month from this. From that money, he has to support his wife, his daughter, his son, pay house rent, school fees, and all other expenses.

After listening to all this, I realise our lives are much easier, but we still keep complaining.

India will become a cancer-heavy nation much sooner than I expected.

Just read the top 10 hospital chain reports in India and you will understand this clearly. In my view, within the next 5 to 8 years, cancer will start looking like an epidemic on the ground.

I am writing this tweet today so I can reshare it at that time :)

Official estimates talk about around 12% CAGR growth for oncology, but my estimate is higher than 15%. Not everyone is rich, and cancer does not hit fast. It spreads slowly, over years, but it is very brutal.

Just like GLP-1 drugs are saving the obesity community today, maybe in the future there will be drugs for cancer and even hair fall.

That depends on AI, big pharma, and how much R&D they push. They know this game better than me.

India is a very serious market for them. Just connect the dots. At the very least, avoid processed food as much as possible. If nothing else, do this.
