Volatility trading edge comes from premium over and above the cost of #variance , #path, #jumps , and #illiquidity majorly.

Jumps and illiquidity comes more often than not hand in hand. Today’s been one such day.Small instance of how overnight like loss can come intraday.

Asset prices = growth + volatility.
Growth comes from valuation; liquidity creates momentum.
Volatility rises at higher prices.

Late entry = higher risk.
“Crash” at highs isn’t surprising.

In trading, a well-reasoned decision can still lose money,
and a poor decision can still make money.

Confusing outcomes with decision quality slowly destroys risk discipline.

Low-vol options mean high gamma and little reaction time.
