Universe is a stream of data points. We can perceive only a subset of these through a limited no' of senses we have. Senses others have but we don't

Electric field - Sharks, Rays
Magnetic field - Select birds, turtles

Lets take sound as an example.

When you say something, you vibrate the surrounding air molecules. This vibration strikes your ear drum.

Your ear drum converts it into electric signals which in turn is converted into the illusion of sound.

Colors don't exist in this world. There is no red, blue or yellow.

Our brain creates the illusion of color. Two people can never be sure that their perception of red color is same.

Even the senses we have don't cover the full range.

Light: We see only visible range. Night predators can see IR. Bees can see UV.

Sound: We can sense only 20 Hz - 20kHz. Bats do upto 200 kHz, Pigeons go down to 0.5Hz

Touch: Pythons sense small temp changes like 0.03 C

Often builders try to offload the work of imagining the product or fearure to the user.

Asking user what product / feature will solve their problem is useless.

User can only tell you if they like your product or not. That's all.

Customer research is a waste of time. Customers often don't know what they want. Rarely when they know what they want, they can't articulate it. Even if they can articulate it, they can never tell you the product that will solve their problem.

This feedback upon experience is only meaningful if they have paid for your product/ service.

There is no use of feedback from free product/ service.

But when customers experience your product, then they can tell you if they liked it or not

If you can’t see the pattern, you’re not paying attention. The stage is being set for the Broadcast Bill again. Social media, the last refuge of free speech, will soon fall.
