Mr James Christopher Swan, SRSG & Head of @MONUSCO, inaugurated the Infectious Disease Centre at India Field Hospital Level-II Plus, Goma, on 22 September 2026. He appreciated the hospital’s dedicated medical services and its vital role as medical backing for MONUSCO Forces in support of the Mission’s mandate. Col Jayanta Borah, Contingent Commander, IFH Level-II Plus, apprised the SRSG of the Centre’s capabilities and preparedness. The Centre further strengthens infectious disease preparedness and medical support for UN personnel, reaffirming India’s commitment to the health and well-being of UN peacekeepers and the successful implementation of the MONUSCO mandate.

India Field Hospital Level-II Plus #MONUSCO, conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Ebola Virus Disease to enhance preparedness and clinical competence of healthcare professionals. The expert session by Dr. Eugénie Mukekulu Kamabu, HEAL Africa Tertiary Hospital, Goma, provided valuable practical insights from real-world Ebola outbreak management, strengthening medical readiness through knowledge sharing. All Medical and Nursing Officers of India Field Hospital Level-II Plus, along with doctors and nursing staff from all Level-1 Clinics in Goma under MONUSCO, actively participated in the CME, contributing to meaningful academic and clinical exchange.

Another way to exploit passengers by Indigo Airlines. They have reduced their normal check in counters to 2-3 counters for the regular passengers so that they can fleece some more money from the passengers by putting the fear of missing the flight which is unethical . @MinCA_GOI

@himantabiswa He was put on ventilator in the late night of 03 Nov and not even informed till next day 12:30 pm. We only came to know when my niece had gone to give him lunch…this is not acceptable…

@himantabiswa We had to shift him out to Apollo Hospital on 04 Nov 21 on ventilator and finally again had to move him to Excelcare Hospital to put him on ECMO…he finally died on 12 Nov 2021..😕
