We need to all agree political violence has no place in this country. We must all recognize that both sides have been the victims of political violence.
With the excitement around light rail, people ask "when is light rail coming to Kirkland?" You can see the enthusiasm deflate when they learn it's scheduled for 2044.
I support adding a link from downtown Redmond to Totem Lake in addition to the already planned connection to South Kirkland. It should be part of any ST4 discussion. https://t.co/0wNhVqD44B
Catch Mariners broadcaster and #Kirkland's own Aaron Goldsmith on This Week in Kirkland to discuss his career journey to move to Kirkland and join the Ms! (The also episode has good info on prepping for snow and upcoming events...) https://t.co/1W6WEw9kD3
As we are starting to see snow fall in #kirkland, bookmark https://t.co/pTNcMvA0ea for information on priority snow routes and current snowplow status.
We have lost a #kirkland lion, Dave Asher. A fierce advocate with a big heart, Dave's longtime service on the city council inspired many to get involved (including me). He worked tirelessly for kids and people in need, was a champion for neighborhoods, and led our state advocacy for many policy and investment wins for Kirkland.
It is with deep sadness that the City announces the passing of former Councilmember Dave Asher, a dedicated public servant who left an enduring legacy of community leadership and civic pride. Mr. Asher passed away on January 15, 2025. Read more: https://t.co/lnX3oMI500

Donald Trump has zero empathy. When he complains about how "Joe Biden was treated" (when actually Biden decided not to run and VP Harris became the nominee), it comes from a place of fear. Fear that a party would want to make a change. For *exactly* the same reasons.
.@kirklandurban, I found some articles that indicated the Chevy Bolt (all-electric EV) had a recall for battery issues and fire risk, but the Chevy Volt (plug-in electric hybrid) does not have the same issue.
While work commitments will prevent me from visiting this evening, I hope everyone has wonderful National Night Out block parties tonight!

@electreives@ConenMorgan I'm shocked at the news of the loss of @ConenMorgan. He was a brilliant strategist and technologist, whom I was honored to work with and learned a tremendous amount from on both fronts. More significantly, Conen was an all-around nice guy and class act.
While other jurisdictions are providing for take home patrol vehicles, #kirkland is providing KPD officers with electric vehicles. In addition to helping recruit and retain the best officers, this initiative supports our sustainability values. https://t.co/SkYKsP4IdB
