Shameful how business community in #Cambodia hides it head in the sand when anything human rights related comes up. Embarrassing too that the likes of @ukincambodia who used to care about business & human rights signed a 'no rights principles' trade agreement with Phnom Penh.
There are different ways to report a story. With words. With pictures. Sometimes I use music. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I’ve been writing a piece for the piano about what’s happening here. @BBCNews@BBCRadio3@BBCr4today
Kabul university professor, who ripped up his diplomas on live TV in Afghanistan has been arrested by the Taliban — “if my sister & my mother can’t study, then I DON’T accept this education.”

499 days since the Taliban’s barbaric BAN on girls going to school & 36 days since they BANNED women from going to university.
This is a shameful mark on humanity. In the 21st century, when millions of girls are deprived of an education in Afghanistan — the world remains silent.

في يوم محزن، اخر بث بي بي سي راديو عربي من الكبير محمود المسلمي
“I looked at the pictures of Mr. Putin trying to look for a trace of humanity.” Two decades ago @MrsMThatcher said THE brutal truth about Putin but the West was immensely naive. Very wise words ⬇️
@chrisccummins Thank you Christian for your comments. The Indo-China I knew has long gone but it stays with me always.I am delighted that my description of it caught your imagination.

A girls' school in Iran brought a member of the IRGC-run Basij paramilitary to speak to students. The girls welcomed the speaker by taking off their headscarves & chanting "get lost, Basiji".
Teenage girls have been at the forefront of protests for days.
