hey man are you coming to the beer fest its in an asphalt parking lot next to a bank. wristbands are $45 and it comes with a tasting glass. supposed to be 96 degrees at 10am. food truck is serving impossible burritos. Brothers Fellow is tapping an imperial stout made from sawdust
@PrinceTamayuki@BuffKret2407@EcksxDee@Bl4ack0ut It’s not. I totally agree that it should be up to the taxpayer to be responsible enough to pay for their own retirement. I dislike taxes as much as anyone else lol. I would much rather have that money now than wait until I’m in 60s.
@PrinceTamayuki@BuffKret2407@EcksxDee@Bl4ack0ut Because most people aren’t responsible enough to save adequately for retirement… but that’s besides the point. They already reduce your taxable income by your withholding so a credit wouldn’t be necessary as that’s already in place.
@BuffKret2407@EcksxDee@Bl4ack0ut Sadly that is the reality, but that’s not what I’m saying. It would automatically be invested… same tax rate as SS but it would be your money benefiting from the time value of money - big difference.
@BuffKret2407@EcksxDee@Bl4ack0ut Except you have to pay into it for 40 years to get that 18k. It would be more plentiful to take the 12.4% (6.2 employer, 6.2 employee) fica tax and throw it into a 401k for the taxpayer that you can withdraw at 60.
