Their religion is an ammonite fossil?? Religious people should donate their brain to science, they don't use it anyway, it might help scientists study the "religious blind spot"
Nobody's asking the hard questions about #Ethanol
- it has ~33% lower energy density than petrol. You WILL see worse fuel efficiency. You WILL feel a drop in power. And long-term? what about Pre 2022 cars which are barely E10 compliant?
Rubber seals, injectors, fuel pumps quietly degrading in engines never engineered for aggressive ethanol blends.
Reliability concerns that only show up after a few thousand kms.
And the poor car buyer? Told this is "green mobility" while silently absorbing every cost.
Also, what will happen to resale values of older non E20 compliant cars when the blend goes upto E25, E30 Etc in a couple of years?
Worse still, buyers have no choice at the pump but to buy E20 fuel. No option for E10 or E5.
A mandate without consumer protection, without transparent pump labelling, without honest disclosures really feels rushed.
The environment matters. Energy security is paramount too. But so is durability, efficiency and basic honesty.

I purchased Hyundai Creta King with my hard-earned money, and for a middle-class family, a car is an emotion, not just a vehicle. I entrusted my car to the service center at Shree Krishna Hyundai Jhunjhunu for minor issues. However, upon picking it up, I was completely exhausted and shocked to see its awful condition: bird droppings all over the exterior, windows left open, and the interior completely covered in mud and sand. The ventilated seat pores and interior leather are choked with dust. I have attached a video of the vehicle showing this unacceptable state.

Whatever opinion one may have about the seal's iconography, it always begins with Marshall's interpretation. Overall, the seal's primordial Shiva character is accepted." (But this is conjecture.)
But Doris Srinivasan's research of 1975–76 is considered the most authentic and influential, which strongly challenges the "Pashupati/Proto-Shiva" hypothesis propagated by Indian/Western historians.
Comparisons of the seal with the Kalibangan terracotta bull, the Mohenjo-daro horned mask, and the Kot Diji horned deity point to a divine buffalo-man or bovine deity, not the Vedic/Hindu Shiva.
Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to.

Thrice India elected a man who faked his degree, can barely converse diplomatically in any language, abandoned his wife, seems like a pathological narcissistic megalomaniac and accused of facilitating communal riots.
How else did you expect the term under him would be?
New India has everything: hottest cities, dirtiest air, shrinking forests, and people still believe that a leader with no real degree, no real answers, and a teleprompter for basic sentences can solve the country’s problems. Cute!
Look at this map.
Nagpur 45°. Ahmedabad 44°. Prayagraj 43°. Delhi 42°. The entire country is a single dark red mass. This is not a heatwave. This is a country that was told its forests were fine.
And this is April. Not May. Not June. The hottest months have not even arrived yet.
The past few days have been hell. So I did what I always do when something bothers me. I went looking for answers.
What I found was a policy con job that has been running for over two decades.
But before I explain what happened, let's clear some definitions.
A garden is not a forest. An orchard is not a forest. A plantation is not a forest.
A forest is a living system. Soil, water, fungi, insects, birds, mammals, decades of accumulated complexity, specific to its land and climate. It cannot be designed. It cannot be harvested. It regulates water, cools land, shelters hundreds of species. It takes decades to become what it is.
You can plant a forest. But it will take decades to become one.
In 2001, India's forests were disappearing. The Indian state, led by the Vajpayee government, faced a choice. Protect what remained, or change what the numbers said.
It chose the numbers.
The Forest Survey of India quietly changed the definition of what a forest means. Any land with 10% tree canopy cover and more than one hectare in area was now a forest. Your mango orchard. A coconut plantation in Tamil Nadu. A tea garden in Assam. Lodhi Garden in Delhi.
All forests, on paper.
The FSI will tell you that 10% canopy cover follows international norms. The FAO also uses 10% as its threshold. But the FAO's definition comes with a crucial exclusion that India's FSI quietly dropped.
The FAO explicitly states that fruit tree plantations, oil palm plantations, olive orchards, and agroforestry systems are not forests. The World Bank says the same. India adopted the number but discarded the exclusion.
It took the cover of international legitimacy while gutting the standard that gave it meaning.
The government will also tell you this was never hidden. That it was publicly stated in every report, disclosed in Parliament. That is technically true. But a disclosure buried in a technical government document is not transparency. It is the appearance of transparency.
I did not know any of this until I went looking. Neither do most Indians whose forests, whose land, whose air this directly concerns. The con is not in what was hidden from experts. It is in what was never explained to the people it was done to.
This is not a technicality. This is the con.
It was a trick as old as power itself. If you cannot fix the problem, fix the measurement.
For ten years after 2001, Congress governed India. Two terms, two environment ministers, including Jairam Ramesh, one of the more serious ones. They saw the numbers. They knew what the numbers meant.
They did nothing.
Because the lie was convenient. India looked good in international climate negotiations. The fiction of a greening India served everyone in power, so everyone in power kept it. Congress did not create this lie. It simply chose, year after year, to live inside it.
The BJP is different.
When they returned to power in 2014, they came with something Congress never had. An absolute majority, and no coalition compulsions. They did not merely inherit the lie. They built on it. And in 2023, they legislated it.
The Forest Conservation Amendment Act of 2023 removed legal protection from "deemed forests." Forests that existed outside the official definition but were ecologically real.
Forests that Adivasi communities had lived in and depended on for generations. Forests that cooled land, held water, sheltered species. They were not on the right list. Since the amendment, forest destruction on Adivasi land has accelerated.
The people who knew these forests best, who had protected them longest, now watch them being cleared. Legally.

Your body has one way to survive real heat: sweating. When the air is too humid, sweat can't evaporate, so your body stops cooling down. In those conditions, a healthy 25-year-old in shade with water can die in about 6 hours. India is now entering the part of the year where this actually happens.
The thermometer lies. A dry 45°C day is brutal but survivable if you find shade and keep drinking. A humid 32°C day can kill older people, sick people, or anyone working outside, because humid air can't hold more water. Your sweat just sits on your skin doing nothing, and your core temperature climbs until your organs start to shut down.
Scientists used to think the human limit was a mix of heat and humidity that felt like 35°C of pure humid air. New research has lowered that line. A 2022 Penn State study put young healthy adults in climate chambers and found they fail about 10°C below the old limit in dry sun. Sydney and Arizona State researchers published follow-up work in 2023 showing the line sits even lower for older adults, especially in dry sun. It moves with age, humidity, sun exposure, and activity level.
India's weather agency just issued its highest red alerts across Rajasthan, UP, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Forecasts show 45 to 46°C this week, with some districts approaching 50°C (about 122°F) within two weeks. Chennai has already crossed the line where continuous outdoor work becomes unsafe. Coastal cities hit that line every summer.
India lost 181 billion working hours to heat in 2023, worth around $141 billion in lost pay, mostly for farmers. Consulting firm McKinsey estimates this could reach 4.5% of India's entire economy by 2030. Official death tolls look small compared to reality. The Health Ministry logged 360 heat deaths in 2024 and independent analysts counted over 700. Research using Lancet Countdown data estimates the real number is close to 150,000 excess deaths per summer, counting everyone whose heart, kidneys, or lungs gave out because of the heat.
When India glows red on a heat map, the color marks where the human body is being pushed past its physical limits. That zone expands every year.
