I would like to commend the security team, both in Mombasa and Kwale, for taking action on these young thugs attacking peace-loving, hard-working Kenyans. @PoliceKE @DCI_Kenya The young thugs have now graduated to attacking people in broad daylight in areas like Mvindeni in Ukunda. Either they are high on something, or they don't care because they know they will be bailed out. They seriously injured a man on his way to work, which can not continue. Thank you, Diani police, for moving very fast and arresting several suspects who are well known to the community elders. We are also well aware that policers are caught between a rock and a hard place. If they come down hard on these boys, then the parents and mostly politicians will claim their young men are being targeted. Some are even worried they can be transfered. Hon Kithure Kindiki @KindikiKithure and Hon Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen please. @kipmurkomen and PS @ray_omollo please DO NOT accept officers to be cowed. Many innocent Kenyans suffer injuries, become maimed, and some even lose their lives when the police take a lenient stance purely due to threats from various quarters. The culprits are very few, and they are NOT attacking people because they are hungry; we have many Kenyans who are worse off, but they all hustle to earn a clean earning. These boys, some juvenile, think that they can get easy money by robbing, maiming Kenyans. To the officers, please follow the law, arrest, and charge them, DCI Directorate of Criminal Investigations - DCI should publish a mugshot of these suspects so that public is aware. These suspects are entitled to bail, and if they are repeat offenders who continue to attack people while their cases are still pending, the courts may deny them bail if they are caught again. Conversely, if the courts persist in releasing them, then disgruntled, well-intentioned populace will find themselves compelled to stand up for themselves, as the courts have let them down. @Kenyajudiciary @CJMarthaKoome @AGOfficeKenya @ODPP_KE To all police officers, we appreciate you, but yours is a thankless job. To my fellow Kenyans, keep in mind that these officers work under extremely difficult conditions, and the majority of these officers are also well-meaning Kenyans. My fellow Kenyans never take the peace we enjoy for granted. When you see one case, please keep in mind that they managed to thwart 10 other similar attacks. Well, as always, I choose to remain an optimist.

Members of Trump’s team told the experts of their intention to announce a withdrawal from the global health body on the president-elect’s January 20 inauguration. This is a follow up to 2020 when Trump accused WHO of being subservient to China's whims. The departure would remove the WHO’s biggest source of funds, damaging its ability to respond to public health crises such as the coronavirus pandemic. Trump has made appointments in the health department that are not pro-WHO and a lot of Covid-19 'silenced voices', such as those that raised alarm over vaccine injuries, etc, have come true in recent times.
