Black prado was recklessly over speeding and over taking other cars. The black prado knocked Willis, losing control then ramming into another vehicle, a white Prado. The driver and occupants of the black Prado then took off leaving Willi's deceased body laying in a ditch! 😡
The Cycling Community in Kenya is really heartbroken by Thone's untimely and avoidable death and are demanding for the immediate arrest of the driver of KCH 052Y for a) causing the crash b) running away c) driving under the influence c) any other charges the law will deem fit....
We are also calling on @KURAroads and @ntsa_kenya to give clear guidance on speed limits within the city, especially around schools. We are also demanding that @KURAroads complete the construction of bike lanes along that road to guarantee safe access and usage by cyclists.
Reckless driving is one of the leading causes of road fatalities on Kenyan roads and we had enough of it!
22nd of April, 22year old Willis Thone Oluoch was casually riding his bike along James Gichuru road in Lavington where he tragically met his demise. @DCI_Kenya@ntsa_kenya

Edit your CV from 'I can work in a challenging & high-pressure environment' to "I'd like to work in a healthy environment that appreciates my skills and offers avenues for growth". Working in the worst conditions is not sth to be proud of & it doesn't make you a better candidate
We know it isn't possible for all journeys to be made by bike. But the fact is that over 70% of trips in Nairobi, @MombasaCountyKe & @KisumuCountyKE are under 5KMs - a distance many of us could easily cycle or walk.
With this, could you leave your car at home for short trips?
