No one has flown into Kyiv or any city in Ukraine since 2022. This airport was kept open even after several days of previous missile strikes (including a fatal one that killed a pilot and destroyed a passenger aircraft) before this mass casualty incident.

The desire to project normalcy is understandable but absolutely no airports should be open until the conflict is over.
