I sold my car in 2005 so i could learn to trade stocks in college. 6-12 months later i lost it all.. But i was hooked! You won't learn shit in this game until you've lost it all. Only then will you have the tools and mindset to win long term. Losing is a gift...
@Switterman Thank you for the advice, it's much appreciated.
I have a feeling it may take me a few more months to get the hang of reliably choosing the right levels to risk off, and then to scale in without adjusting my stops in a way that gets me chopped out.
Thanks again!
@Independent Any time someone in the media can't intelligently debate a topic, they resort to calling someone a conspiracy theorist. It's a low IQ technique with sprinkles of propaganda to try and make the accused person appear less credible. This is really low rent "journalism."
Taking losses well is a real SKILL you can develop that separates really good traders from just average traders. I still feel the negative emotions, but I am much more self aware now & can control them, and the most important thing, can keep on trading through the day regardless
Undercapitalised massively on $AMD, but still managed to take small piece of the move.
Traded $CCL horribly, have now put rules in place to avoid endlessly reshorting.
Included are 1M & 15M charts.
Important to know where you are in the cycle and then adjust how you trade / how often you trade / what size you trade with or if you shouldn't trade at all in a given period!
