Oh got it. I tell them to do all they can (or want) in terms of diet/exercise/lifestyle/meds etc for their health, to prevent disease in future or to manage what they have now. And once you do all you can, that's all you can do, and live your life.
Life is short and we all live on borrowed time. No point following a 100 point blueprint of diet and supplements etc if it makes you miserable mentally. Have some cake from time to time, enjoy a beer from time to time, do things that make you happy.
Taking care of heart attack patients on the brink of death over the last few years has changed my perspective on life. You save some Iives but can't save them all. Twitter wellness gurus/influeners who've never had to take care of 40,50 year olds with acute health issues can't understand haha.
