So I was almost 2 weeks late in topping up my sim. I've had this particular number since 2012 - almost 20 year old. After a lengthy discussion with a digicel rep I was essentially told I can't get my number back.... @DIGICELJamaica @digicelgroup

.... my hands are tied and I can't do anything without @DIGICELJamaica giving me back my number. You've opened up your clients to potential fraudsters and identity theft. This is a nightmare guys.

... fast forward 1 month later and my number has been reassign to a stranger who now has access to my contacts and has been reaching out to them. Imagine my horror! I used this number for banking, for account verifications and now this stranger has my number.....
