When Harvard sought Hollywood's help to introduce the "designated driver" concept into the American culture in the late 1980s, Grant Tinker introduced me to Jim Burrows. Cheers worked the idea into about a dozen episodes and featured our poster on the stage set for several years. Jim and his colleagues helped to save many lives!

During a stroke, every minute counts. If you think someone may be having a stroke, B.E.  F.A.S.T.

B—Balance Loss
Ask the person if they are feeling off-balance or dizzy.
E—Eye (Vision) Changes
Ask the person if they have trouble seeing normally.
F—Face
Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
A—Arms
Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S—Speech
Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?
T—Time: If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 immediately.

@mviser He was the real deal. First met him at a Brookline Dems event during first ran for Congress. I asked about protecting Medicare, he blew his answer, politically, called from a pay phone the next day to clarify. I said, put it in writing, got a handwritten note. I loved the guy.

At a minimum, book opposing spokespersons for joint point/counterpoint, in-person interviews. The current @MeetThePress format is largely useless—literally!

@DrewAltman As you point out, the challenge is retention of the change over time. That requires a sustained effort. Harvard’s designated driver campaign worked because writers modeled the behavior in more than 160 prime time TV episodes over 4 years.
