Today’s listening: what stands out is MODERN this sounds from back in 1964. The way Elvin plays around the beat, the dense harmonies. It could have easily been made in 2024 and not sound out of place. @bluenoterecords#jazz#nowplaying#jazzmusic
@SirWayne01 Except Snyder is saying the world views SUPERMAN an infallible, godlike figure. You can tell that from the cinematography: it’s entirely from the view of the trapped: When there’s no
Hope left, there’s Superman.
I also have a Crate where I post reviews of Jazz albums. There doesn’t seem to be ANY Jazz people there, but if you are… come check it out!

Today’s listening: Israeli jazz that is so good about folding in traditional sounds and cadences, while being just “jazzy” enough. It’s an interesting listen. #jazz#worldjazz#todaysjazzlistening

Today’s listening: recorded today in 1968.
You can absolutely hear the shift into his electronic albums - In a Silent Way and Bitch’s Brew. The Harmony and grooves are freer without it veering into “Free Jazz.”

Today’s listening: Another album from the 21st century! TBH, I can’t decide yet if I like it or not yet. It’s different. Certainly requires more listens! Ping Emma Rawicz- I can’t find if she has a Twitter handle! #jazz#jazzX#jazzmusic
