MEET SHAYMA ALZUBI.

She was selected to become principal of a Fort Worth high school.

Then parents and activists began circulating old social media posts associated with her account, including posts supporting Sharia, DACA, Black Lives Matter, pro-Palestinian messaging, and COVID-era mask policies. Fort Worth ISD reassigned her pending an investigation.

Now the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is suing the district, claiming her reassignment violated her constitutional rights and amounted to discrimination.

The bigger question isn’t whether she had a right to post those things.

The bigger question is why so many institutions spent years telling parents not to worry about ideology in schools, only for parents to repeatedly discover activists, political causes, and controversial belief systems sitting in positions of influence over their children.

If these posts are irrelevant to her ability to lead a school, then why is CAIR willing to file a federal lawsuit over them?

And if they are relevant enough to sue over, maybe parents were right to ask questions in the first place.

One problem with socialism is that almost everyone now supports it, the right included, every administration for the better part of a century, along with the altruist morality that feeds it. And it arrives bundled with the public schools that train people to accept it. The state runs the education system, and the result is two crippling deficits in the citizen.

First, he cannot think. He was trained to memorize and obey, not to reason from principle, so he cannot trace an idea to its consequences or spot a contradiction when it's handed to him.

Second, his grasp of even recent history is gone. He does not know what socialism did in the USSR, in Mao's China, in Venezuela a decade ago. The bodies, the famines, the collapse, all flushed from memory.

So you get a population that cannot reason and cannot remember, being sold the exact system that starved and butchered a hundred million people within living memory.

That is not an accident. A mind that could think and recall would reject the pitch on sight. The state that wants to control your life first takes over the schools that should have taught you to say no.
