The Yankees are 4th in Steals, 5th in FanGraphs' BsR, and 8th in Statcast's Baserunning Runs.
After years of running the bases like drunks, they've become a legitimate threat on the bases. They even lead the AL in steals and BsR, ahead of the Rays/Guardians.
Cam Schlittler's 2.25 career ERA is the lowest ERA by a Yankees pitcher whose first 30 career appearances were all starts.
It's also the third-lowest ERA by any MLB pitcher since 1913, trailing only José Fernández (2.09 ERA) and Paul Skenes (2.15 ERA).
Can Schlittler K’d 13 in 6 shutout innings vs Reds. Dominant. Ben Rice ripped a 3-run HR to CF, a 433-foot shot. Powerful. Both have the stats to start in ASG. And, remember, Cam is a 7th round pick and Ben is a 12th rd pick. Yankees draft & development folks should take a bow.
This is a great example of how shitty society has become. When this game came out it was widely celebrated and is still considered one of the best game DLCs of all time. If it came out today you’d have a bunch of wife beaters crying about it
The purpose of MiLB is to develop talent and MLB’s proposal is offloading that task to colleges. Schools have an incentive to win, which intrinsically conflicts with player development. These proposed changes are counterproductive and only act as a way for owners to save money
This is such a waste. Players had the option to not wear the rainbow hat. Instead they decided to write on their uniforms in violation of MLB rules and MLB said you can't do that.
Those are the facts. Dedicating DOJ resources and opening a probe is nonsense.
