In residencies that quietly exclude us, you see it.
But here’s the truth nobody tells you:

UC’s, if managed properly, can be excellent.

An urgent care referred a carpenter with a splinter in his hand to me. It was removed with tweezers.

Referred a laceration to the ED for sutures.

Referred wrist fractures to the ED for splinting.

These places offer very little value to many patients.

@Rick_Pescatore It has taken me a lot longer to get my career going because of this exact sentiment. I've been to 99% of my kids' dances and sports... every day that goes by as I approach 40 I get more grateful I've delayed my training for them.
