"Who knows where we'll meet each other next, but you know what? We're gonna meet each other next. I don't know when or where, but I believe it." - John Sterling
Iโve been listening to so many iconic calls of John Sterling today and one that is not getting talked about enough is Aaron Judgeโs 62nd home run.
John was beginning to slow down in 2022 and was not making every road trip but when Judge was closing in on the record John made sure he was there at every game.
He loved the game. He loved the history of the #Yankees and we loved him.
Of course the call was outstanding and only Johnโs voice should be the soundtrack to such an iconic moment.
John Sterling is as much a part of the fabric of the New York Yankees organization as any player. It was an honor to have him call every one of my games during my career and an absolute pleasure to get to know him on a personal basis. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
